Expectations and Assumptions

  1. 1.You are expected to cooperate with the tutor in the tutoring process by coming to the tutoring sessions prepared to work and attempt to complete homework assignments before the session.
  2. 2. If you cannot attend a scheduled tutorial session for any reason, you must contact your tutor in order to re-schedule that session.
  3. 3. Assignments are made on a first come, first serve basis, and there is no guarantee that a tutor will be available for every course in which a student requests assistance.
  4. 4. The Peer Tutoring Program and Georgetown College cannot guarantee that, once tutorial assignments are made, every tutor/tutee relationship will be a successful one. If a student finds that he/she cannot work with an assigned tutor, it is his or her responsibility to contact the Peer Tutoring Program for reassignment.
  5. 5. Students must bear in mind that they primary responsibility for their academic success is their own. The Peer Tutoring Program and Georgetown College cannot guarantee that all tutorial assignments will have a significant impact upon a tutee's grade in a course.
