Summary
This positions coordinates all applications for admissions from incoming freshmen, transfer students and all other enrolled students for a given semester or year.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Coordinate admissions decision letters
- Provide support for front desk on a shared basis as needed
- Basic clerical duties
- Managing applicant folders and the filing of application material
- Assist the Director with reporting
- Coordination of application material (i.e. transcripts, essays standardized test scores, electronic communications, and other materials necessary for the application process)
- Work both with online applications as well as traditional paper applications
- Workable knowledge of application database system (EMT Hobsons, CARS, etc.)
- Work effectively with the admissions counseling staff and other offices related to the enrolling of students
- Communicate with prospective students about stages within the application process

- Education and / or Experience -- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Communication / Language -- Requires effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and basic computer literacy. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Mathematical -- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Reasoning -- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
