Academic Awards

The Business Administration and Economics Department presents a number of awards each year to outstanding business students. Presentations are made at the annual Georgetown College Academic Honors Program. Annual awards include Senior Awards in Accounting; Business Administration; Business Administration and Ethics; Commerce, Language and Culture; Economics; and Management Information Systems. Other outstanding student awards include the John E. Drake Accounting Award, named for a former faculty member, and the Mary Louise Foust Accounting Award. The Wall Street Journal Student Achievement Award recognizes the student most likely to excel in the business world. Finally, the Samuel Elliott Cranfill Scholarship, also named for a former faculty member, is presented to an outstanding student who is majoring and/or minoring in both Business and English.
