Students can acquire valuable experience in actual business settings through the Department’s internship program. The program begins with the student’s search for a suitable internship, which gives the student some sense of what it is like to seek a full-time job. Once the student obtains an internship, she or he has the opportunity to apply ideas learned in the classroom to real-world business situations. In addition, often students receive pay for the work done in the internship. There is considerable flexibility in the type of work and the place of work that meet the objectives of the program.
