  Spring 2008: General Information 

The Class Lists page is partially complete.  Sections and courses will be added for the next few weeks. 

This page contains information about tuition and registration dates.  It also explains about possible "holds" on registration, wait  lists and so  on.  
 

Town meeting schedule-- Click here.

The first day of Registration will be Wednesday, November 7.  Only students enrolled in the LBD or MAAC programs may register on that day. Registration begins by telephone or online at 830 AM.

On Thursday, November 8, any graduate students who will finish their programs in 2008 may register, beginning at 830 AM. 

Registration for all other students begins at 8:30 AM Friday, November 9.

 

$$- Tuition is $310 per credit hour.  Bills are generated weekly from new registrations and tuition may be paid in full or in up to four payments, due Jan. 5, Feb. 5, Mar. 5, and Apr. 4. (requires a deferred payment agreement).  Cash, check or credit card are accepted.  If you have questions, the Business Office number is 502-863-8021.
 

Confirming Enrollment
You must confirm your enrollment by paying tuition charges in full or making final arrangements with the Business Office to pay in installments.  Students who have not confirmed registration by the end of the second week of the term will be removed from classes and charged according to the refund policy.

Spring 2008 Dates

Nov 7-9:    Registration begins

Nov. 30: Online registration ends. Phone-in only. 
Last day to drop without a fee.

Jan. 5: Town Meeting (first class meeting)for Online courses

Jan. 7: First day of graduate classes

April 1-4: Registration for Summer 2008

April 11: Last day for graduate classes

Spring 2008 Registration Policies:

1. Maximum Load.  Regular MA and Rank 1 students employed full-time  may take up to 2 courses in the Fall semester.

2. Holds on registration.  Any student who is not up-to-date with tuition payments from previous terms will not be allowed to register until the account has been rendered current.

3. Wait Lists:  If a class you want is full, you can be added to a wait list for that class. Spaces in these classes go to wait listed students in the order received. You cannot be registered for a class and be on the waiting list for another class in that same time slot.

4. Drop policy: A $20 fee is charged for dropping any course after Friday, Nov. 30. There is no charge for dropping courses before or on this date.  Dropping a class after it starts invokes the regular prorated refund policy.

6. Georgetown College has a special fee for Web-based (online) courses. This fee is $100- $150 per course and applies to indicated web-based courses in the course listings.
