Special Information about Online Courses

Starting Dates: The official starting date for all online courses, unless indicated otherwise in the Course Description, is January 7. This date is when the tuition charges begin to accrue.

Orientation: The Education Department will have a "Town Meeting" for students in online courses Saturday, January 5. The Town Meeting is considered your first class meeting, and is thus mandatory for those in the online classes unless the course description indicates otherwise. Click here for the schedule of that day.

Chat Times: Note that some of the online courses use "Chat times."  For each of these courses, the chat time is from 800-900 PM on either Mon, Tues, Wed, or Thursdays. If an online course has a chat time, this time is noted in the course's description on the "Course Descriptions" page. You cannot register for two courses with the same chat time, nor can you take a late-evening regular course whose meeting time conflicts with your online course's chat time.

For building locations, use the interactive campus map available online at http://spider.georgetowncollege.edu/art/gtown/ .
