Dr. Rosemary A. Allen Provost/Dean of the College Professor, Department of English Campus Fulbright Adviser Rhodes Scholarship Adviser NSEP Adviser B.A., Hillsdale College; M.A., Ph.D. Vanderbilt University Classes taught: Composition I and II, Honors Composition II, Literature Survey I and II, Journalism, Neo-Classical Literature, English Novel, Topics in Women in Literature, Milton and Shakespeare. Areas of research interest: Position and image of women in late Renaissance drama; portrayal of sin and repentance in the work of Daniel Defoe. Dr. Allen is the recipient of the 1997 Rollie Graves Technology Excellence Award, the 1998 John Walker Manning Distinguished Mentor and Teacher Award, and the 2002 Cawthorne Excellence in Teaching Award.
