College is an exciting time of fun and study.  The fun part is easy to master.

The study part can be fun if you are prepared to meet the challenges of college level study.

Here are 10 helpful study tips:

    • study 50 minutes; take a break for 10 minutes

    • design weekly study schedules

    • pay attention to deadlines

    • get 8 hours of sleep (but not in class...)

    • mark on your calendar the date of every test

    • review your notes after lectures

    • prioritize what you really need to do, and learn to say "no" (put shopping at bottom of priority list..)

    • find the best place to study and remember that 10-15 minutes of exercise can help concentration

    • don't be afraid to ask for help--talk to your instructors, advisor, or get a tutor

    • attend classes--instructors at GC know you!

Practice these study tips, and you are on your way to your goal--a successful college experience.
