PINCKNEY'S TREATY (1795)
(TREATY OF SAN LORENZO)
- 31st parallel established as the border between
the U.S. and West Florida
- Spain agreed to allow the U.S. free navigation
of Mississippi River to Gulf of Mexico and grant the right of
deposit in New Orleans for 3 years.
- Both nations agreed not to incite Indian attacks
against each other.
