Henry Ward Beecher
His Impact
Overall Henry Ward Beecher had a very lasting impact on American society. He supported issues that were not popular, such as women's suffrage, and went through a sex scandal that could have finished his career. Yet, Henry Ward Beecher's career was barely damaged by anything that he went and mostly helped. He was one of the most popular ministers of his time and he helped change the way sermons were given. He showed future religious leaders and leaders in general that they should not be afraid to stand up for what they believe in and then fight for those beliefs. He never stopped fighting for what he believed.
