Broadcast Of Video Tapes Over The Georgetown College Cable TV Network

Overview: It is possible using the Georgetown College cable TV network to broadcast VHS and DVD programs for academic and institutional purposes. It is the purpose of this policy to state the guidelines and procedures for requesting videos to be played over the Georgetown College cable TV network.

Guidelines and restrictions:

*The requesting faculty member should consult with the Provost or the VPSL before arranging to broadcast any materials that might be considered offensive.

*Only original tapes with appropriate copyright (when applicable) information displayed will be broadcast, unless the video was produced by Georgetown College.

*All requests must be made with the Help Desk at X-4357 between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. Tapes and completed Video Request Form must be received by Information Technology Services 24 hours prior to the requested viewing time.

*Scheduling of broadcasts are done on a first come first serve basis.

*Due to limited personnel and resource availability, Information Technology Services may not be able to broadcast all requests.
