If you are a student and you wish to use your home email address instead of your Georgetown College email address you will want to set up email forwarding. If you don't do this, you will either have to check your GC email and your home email, or you will risk missing important information from your professors and other student announcements!

It is very easy to forward your GC email to your home email account, or to check that forwarding is configured to send your Georgetown College email to the correct home email account. Click here to go to the PAWS site.  After you login, you will be able to select the option to Forward Email.

Attention Hotmail users:

A problem has been identified with forwarding mail from your Georgetown College email address to your Hotmail email account.

The problem occurs if you have turned on Junk Mail filtering under the Options link. If you have enabled junk mail filtering then mail forwarded from Georgetown College maybe treated as junk mail by your Hotmail account. If you have the Junk Mail deletion option set to immediately delete, you will never see mail forwarded from Georgetown College.

To keep junk mail filtering set, and still receive mail from Georgetown College, simply add Georgetown College to your safe list. Here are the steps:

  1. Click on the safe list link under Options
  2. Type georgetowncollege.edu in the box provided
  3. Click <Add> to add Georgetown College to your safe list
  4. Click <OK>to return to the Options page
