Email for faculty and staff is run by a Microsoft Exchange server. Consequently, the best way to read and compose email, as well as maintain your calendar and task lists is by using Microsoft Outlook. Click here to access the Outlook tutorial. This tutorial covers all aspects of Microsoft Outlook.
The domain name for email is @georgetowncollege.edu. Because we are using an Exchange server, you actually have two different email addresses:
You may use either when subscribing to lists, giving your email address to friends and colleagues, etc.
Outlook Web Access (OWA)The advantage of web-based email is that faculty and staff may access their GC email from any computer anywhere in the world that has an internet connection.
To access your GC email via the web:
The advantage to using OWA to access email from off campus is that you will have access to not only your email but also your calendar and tasks.

Faculty and staff that may be away from campus for an extended period of time may have their GC email forwarded to another account. Contact Ron Nutter in ITS to have that done. When you return to campus, you will need to contact James to have the forward turned off.”
