Faculty or Staff Network Drive (“Y” drive)

Once you have successfully logged into the campus network, you will automatically be attached to what is commonly called the “Y” drive. (This will be true when you log in to any campus computer connected to the campus network.) This is a space on one of the campus servers reserved just for you. The primary purpose of the “Y” drive is to allow you to have access to important files that you are working on regardless of where you a working, thus eliminating the need to carry floppy disks with you to copy files from computer to another.

You should be connected to your “Y” drive when you log in using any computer on campus with a network connection. If you are not, then you should contact the ITS Help Desk.
