Campus Emergency:  Dial 9 + 911

PSC:  Personal Security Code

When Using your PSC:  After dialing a 5 you will hear 2 beeps, then enter your PSC after which you will hear 3 beeps and an external dial tone.  You may now dial the outside telephone number; if your PSC is inactive or invalid you will hear a high-low tone.

On Campus Calls:  Dial the 4 digit extension

Local Calls:  Dial 9 + seven digit number

Long Distance Calls:
Within the Area Code:  Dial 5.   After two beep prompt, enter your PSC.  Wait for Dial Tone, then dial 1 + 502 + seven digit number.
Outside of the Area Code*:Dial 5.   After two beep prompt, enter your PSC.  Wait for dial tone, then dial 1 + area code + seven digit number.

*Includes the 50 United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands(Including the U.S. Virgin Islands) Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands.

International Calls:  Dial 5.  After two beep prompt, enter your PSC.  Wait for dial code, then dial 011 + country code + city code (if needed) + local number.

Toll Free Numbers:  Dial 9 +1 + toll free number.
Note: Access to alternate long distance carriers will require the entry of your PSC.

Operator Assisted:  Dial 5, wait for two beep prompt, enter your PSC, then dial  0 + Area Code + Seven Digit Number. 

Directory Assistance

Campus operator:  Dial 0.  8am till 5pm - Monday - Friday

Local Assistance: Dial 5, after two beep prompt, enter your PSC, then dial 1 + 411.  There is a charge for this call.


Long Distance Assistance:
Within the 502 Area Code:Dial 5, after two beep prompt enter your PSC.  Wait for a dial tone, then dial 1 + 502 +555-1212.  There is a charge for this call.
Outside of the 502 Area Code:Dial 5, after two beep prompt, enter your PSC, then dial 1 + Area Code + 555-1212.  There is a charge for this call.
