Setting Up your Message Waiting Button to AutoDial the PhoneMail System
This option is available only to Faculty/Staff using a RolmPhone with feature buttons.  If your phone has a button labeled "Message Waiting" or "MSGWT", you  can take advantage of the system dialing your Access Number for PhoneMail for you.

Things you need to Have before you begin:

  • Your PhoneMail Access Number.
  • A RolmPhone with feature buttons, one of which is labeled "Message Waiting" or "MSGWT".

Steps to Program Auto-Dial Feature:

  1. Get Dial Tone.
  2. Press # # 3.
  3. Dial 0.
  4. Dial your Access Number.
  5. Hangup.

Results:

After performing the steps above you should be able to Access PhoneMail without using the Access Number.  Instead of dialing your access number, you get dial tone and press the message waiting feature button (MSGWT or Message Waiting).
