Logging InAll faculty, staff and students automatically receive a user name and password. This user name and password is required for login; the login process grants the user access to technology services. The systems requiring login are:
The same user name and password is used in all cases.
When you first start any Windows-based computer located in any of the public computing classrooms and laboratories, you will be confronted with a login dialog box that will ask you for three pieces of information: User Name, Password, and Domain. Use the <Tab> key to move from one entry area to the next and then enter the information. Press <OK> when you are done to initiate the login process.
User Names
The default user name is the first letter of your first name, followed by the first six letters of your last name, followed by a number. For example:
There are two important things to remember about user names.
Passwords
The default password is the first three letters of your middle name followed by the last four digits of your social security number. For example:
What if you do not have a middle name? Then use the first three letters of your first name:
What if you registered with just a middle initial? Then use the middle initial followed by a period:
The campus network has one domain FAST.

It is imperative that you attempt to login as soon as possible to see if you have any problems. You should do this BEFORE the first day of classes. You may use any of the public computers on campus (LRC, Anderson Lab, etc.) |
