bar.gif (1079 bytes)

Dine Healthy is a package that allows you to enter data concerning your dietary habits over a period of time and then provides analysis and suggestions for healthier eating. Dine Healthy is required in some courses offered by Kinesiology and Health Studies. Installing and running Dine Healthy over the network requires installing several megabytes of files on your computer and the process is sometimes tricky. If you encounter problems with the installation you can cancel at any time. Dine Healthy is available in the computer labs for students needing access to the program for a specific class.

1. Map a drive to \\roscoe\healthy.

2. Decide if you want the sample files installed and click Next.

3. Accept c:\healthy as the installation drive and directory by clicking Next.

4. Answer affirmatively to all questions until the installation routine completes or becomes stuck. Try to plow you way on through. Press on regardless. The program sometimes gives horrible sounding warnings but later works anyway.

5. When the installation completes a new program group called Dine Healthy 3 will be created. Locate that group and double-click the Dine Healthy icon.

6. When the "Please Find the DINE Foods File" window opens, select the drive mapped in step 1 (\\roscoe\healthy) and double-click the file FOODS.DB.

7. When the "Please Find the DINE Activities File" window opens, select the drive mapped in step 1 (\\roscoe\healthy) and double-click the file ACTIVITY.DB.

8. Click OK on the main Dine Healthy screen to start the program.
