INSTRUCTIONS FOR DOWNLOADING AND INSTALLING
MINITAB OVER THE CAMPUS NETWORK

 

Minitab is a statistical application package used by several departments in conjunction with their courses. For information on configuring and using Minitab please contact your instructor.

1. Create a shortcut to run Minitab:
  1. Right-click the desktop
  2. Choose New, Shortcut, and in the command line field type \\abraham\minitab\mtb14.exe.
  3. Click Next, choose an identifier for the shortcut, and click Finish.
  
  1. Map a drive to \\abraham\minitab.
  2. From the Program Manager group, choose File, New.
  3. Choose Program Group and click OK.
  4. Type in a descriptive name for the group (Minitab) and click OK.
  5. Choose File, New again.
  6. Choose Program Item and click OK.
  7. Type in a descriptive name for the item (Minitab) and click OK.
  8. In the command line field, type x:\mtbwin\minitab.exe where x is the drive letter chosen in step 1.
  9. Answer Yes, you want to continue even though the specified path points to a file that may not be available during later Windows sessions. Live dangerously.
  10. A new icon for Minitab in the group Minitab should now be created.
