Application Process
So you want to study in another country...think on these things
Freshman Year
Explore:

Where do I want go: China, Australia, Costa Rica, Belize, United Kingdom, France, Spain, Germany? Other Places?

What subjects do I want to take? Do I want them to count for my major, my minor, my general education requirements, or do I want them as electives?

How much will it cost?
-
How will I pay for it—parents, financial aid, travel scholarships? How do I plan a budget?

What about a Passport?

Can I go during Winter Break or Summer?

Consult with Emily Brandon, Director of International Programs, McCandless House, Corner of Jackson and Mulberry Streets.
Sophomore Year
If you go in your Sophomore Year, you must:

Complete and submit Study Abroad Approval Form—Deadline is February 15. You cannot study abroad and use your financial aid for assistance unless you complete this process.

Choose courses

Consult faculty advisor

Submit completed Program application to Kentucky Institute for International Studies, Cooperative Center for Studies Abroad, Regent's Park College, Central College Abroad, College Consortium for International Studies, or other.

Complete a budget

Consult Financial Aid Office

Consult Parents

Apply for applicable Travel Scholarships—Fogle, Roberts, or Monson

Junior or Senior Year
If you go in your Junior or Senior Year, you must:
