Music Education students, first and
foremost, do study for the PRAXIS! These tests are not
inexpensive, and there is no reason for not passing the first time. By way of
anecdote, a GC music student recently failed a portion of the PRAXIS.
The student then studied before retaking it and did remarkably
well the second time. Imagine that! Too bad the studying didn't happen
before the first attempt.
You should be familiar with the
content of the Georgetown College Teacher Education and Certification

PRAXIS Testing Requirements for Kentucky
must complete and pass the appropriate PRAXIS Tests to receive

unsuccessful in your first attempt to pass any portion of the PRAXIS,
you are directed to contact your academic advisor, who will put you in
contact with the appropriate faculty member to work on a remediation
plan before the test is retaken.
