             Guest Piano Recital: Nada Loutfi, piano

 

Nada Maria Loutfi is an internationally acclaimed pianist, originally from Beirut.  She was the first woman from the Middle East to take the First Prize at the Paris Conservatory.  She has performed in prestigious halls worldwide, including the Steinway Hall in NYC, Kilbourn Hall at Eastman School of Music, and at the Salzburg Festival in Austria.

Reception to follow in the Hall of Fame Room

Professor Tilford will play the first recital on the new organ on Sunday afternoon, October 28th at 4:00pm. A series of programs utilizing the organ will be scheduled in the near future. Former organ students of the college are invited to perform on this wonderful instrument.  Contact the Department of Music if you are interested.

             Piano Ensemble Recital: Mary Alice Birdwhistell, Sarah Eisenberg,              Daniel Ng, Ashley Pope, Paige Priest, Rebecca Smith, piano

 

Students will perform Faure’s Dolly Suite, op. 56 and other piano four-hands works by Brahms and Tchaikovsky.

Paige Priest will be performing works by Haydn, Schumann, and Debussy.
