Let There Be Grrr...

Working Weekend I
September 18 & 19, 2009

* Annual Tiger Band Leadership Event*
*Dedication of the Kim Summers Memorial*
Home-Opener Football Game - Toyota Stadium*

we started our Grrr... Weekend with the annual Tiger Band Leadership Event as coordinated by Mr. James Koeppe - we have found the TBLE to be invaluable as it helps to develop our internal leadership and teamwork skills

Emily Hales Bennett, a Gem Alumni of our Tiger Bands,  Class of 2003
it was a singular delight when Emily showed up for a surprise visit - to see the Band Scholars and to attend the Memorial Dedication

our Tiger Bands have dedicated their 2009-2010 "Let There Be Grrr..." Performance Season to the memory of our Dear and Cherished Friend
we then had the distinct privilege and pleasure to be a part of the Memorial Dedication as our campus community joined together to remember Richard "Kim" Summers and dedicate The Tiger. This tribute shall hopefully remind many generations of Georgetonians yet to come of the great heart, spirit, dedication and loyalty for which Kim was well-known and much-loved.

and then it was Saturday and time for the Tiger Football Home-Opener as Coach Cronin and our Tigers defeated Webber [FL] in a 21-14 overtime thriller - Grrr...

Thanks & Thanks
for your continuing support of the Band Scholars and our Tiger Bands at Georgetown College
