Re:       2012 Spring – OWS 2

            January 29 through February 29

Good Morning Band Scholars and Band Friends: I hope this finds you well. There follows OWS 2 – which shall guide and direct our efforts for the next several weeks. This OWS is almost entirely pertinent schedule information. I have left posted on the Band Web – OWS 1 [which contained mostly operational information] for you to refer to as necessary. As always, please peruse carefully and digest fully the veritable plethora of information contained in OWS 2.

Some Quick Reminders …

FAFSA Forms … ensure you and your parents have completed as quickly as possible. Due dates must be heeded [and if possible please complete ahead of time]. Estimators can be used. If you have any questions – please contact Dr. Lohman, or your academic advisor or me or someone.

Academics … ensure you are establishing appropriate and responsible patterns of behavior regarding your course work now. In many ways, if you start the semester strong – you’ll position yourself positively to have a great semester. Academics must come first.

2012 Kibbie … for those of you selected to participate in Kibbie – please know that by about Tuesday, I will generate and send to you a packet of information [schedule, needs, basic plan, et al] that should answer any question you might have about this great experience.

KUG II … all information pertinent to KUG II will be found in the Weekly Schedule portion of this OWS. What we ask each of you is to take responsibility [sell] for the five tickets we gave to you. The success of the KUG benefits the greater good. KUG II Basics … Guest Speakers – Coach McCloskey, Coach Cronin & Dr. Allen; Special Music Offerings – Lauren [Flute] and Connor [Marimba]; Pledge – Tall Nick and Invocation – Miss Hannah; on-site ticket sales and ticket collection – Miss Stuck and Haley; Welcome Video Loop and Silent Auction – Logan; Maitre D – Fluffy; Set-Up, Serving, Table Hosts and Tear-Down – All Band Scholars.

Tog Check … as over the next few weeks you shall need all of your Togs at one point or another – please ensure you have your … Band Blazer, Black LL&G Polo Shirt, Orange Grrr… T-Shirt, White Grrr… Polo Shirt and White 5FBT T-Shirt ready to roll [we shall not be buying new I/We Love Donnie tees – Junior and Senior Band Scholars – ensure you have yours, and hopefully we have enough “in stock” to cover most of the rest of you]
