KUG III
Keep Us Grrr...ing Band Dinner
Friday, February 1, 2013
The Band Scholars were tickled to host KUG III, the third of our KUG Series [started in 2011], for our cherished Band Friends and Families.

Grrr...

Below: It is a mammoth task to transition the Montgomery Cafe to KUG readiness, and the Band Scholars worked for hours [before and after] for prep and tear-down. In all they were great.

Cherished Band Friend Miss Sheila
with Courtney and Jesse-Eddie
[who, along with Kacey and Haley] were crucial in the planning and preparation of KUG III

KUG III
... was an evening of great food, great fellowship and great times as Band Friends, Band Families and Band Scholars got to mix and mingle.

Dr. Carter

Thank-You

Evan-James

Coach McCloskey
Guest Speakers were an integral part of KUG III. Representing Band Alumni was Mr. Lucas Gravitt [Scott County High School]. Representing our cherished relationship with Tiger Athletics was Coach Andrea McCloskey [Lady Tiger Basketball]. Representing our commitment to Academic Excellence was Dr. Yoli Carter [Dean of Education]. Representing our current Band Scholars was Evan James Harrell. Thanks & Thanks to each and all of these special folks for your contributions to KUG III.

Team Clarinet
Another special feature of KUG III were musical performances by three small ensembles. They added a little "class" to the proceedings.

The Tuba Boys

and of course, KUG III ended with some Classic Grrr...ing as the members of our much-beloved FTGPB played a few favorites for all in attendance

Thanks & Thanks
... to all who attended KUG III, to all who continue to support the Band Scholars and our Tiger Bands at Georgetown College. Very Special Thanks & Thanks to Mr. Josh Eckman, Executive Chef Miguel Rivas and all of our Food Buddies for helping with KUG III preparations and serving a daggone great meal.
BVIII - Ready to Roll
... then preparing for Saturday, we left BVIII on Concourse B [upper level] as we knew there was a chance of a bit of snow and ice.

On Saturday, February 2, we had the privilege and pleasure to support our Teams and our College at a Classic Double-Header.

Congratulations to Coach McCloskey, Coach Briggs and their fine student-athletes for a great day of basketball.
