On January 29th - after rehearsal, we had
the greatest of treats - a visit by none other than Whit herself.
Whitney Gae Castle Harris [currently teaching] and her husband [Andrew,
currently finishing medical school] live in Lexington.
In many, many years now of our Tiger
Bands, and having had many, many great Band Scholars - a few simply
stand out because of their incredible contributions to our special
"world".
Whit is one of these rare individuals -
and as such - has and always shall have "Gem Alumni" alumni status. What
a pleasure to again get to visit with this most remarkable young lady.
