Audition Dates

Admission for participation in our Tiger Bands and/or consideration for a Band Scholarship [between 500.0 and 10,000.00 renewable each year] requires an audition and interview. Participation in our Tiger Bands is CERTAINLY NOT LIMITED to music majors and minors; historically most of the Band Scholars have been involved in pre-med, pre-law, pre-seminary, education and business fields primarily. Primary Scholarship and Admission Dates for 2008-2009 are.....

Monday, February 16th - President's Day
Saturday, February 28th
Saturday, March 14th
 

(if these dates are inconvenient for you - please call and we shall schedule an audition/interview at a mutually beneficial time)

Generally speaking for an audition to be considered either for admittance to our Tiger Bands or a Band Scholarship - the audition consists of .....

01. playing requested scales [at least four flats, four sharps and chromatic
02. prepared selection [class A solo or equivalent]
03. sight-reading [chosen from selections our Tiger Symphonic Band is currently performing

Then we shall chat a bit - to get an idea as to "fit" as prescribed and described by the Five-Fold Band Tenets of our Tiger Bands .....

During the 2005-2006 academic year, we also instituted a "special" program - Audition Grants - in the sum of 500.00, renewable each year, for any prospective student who auditions on the three, primary audition dates.
