Tiger Bands “On the Road” Series – KC2011
Good Evening: I hope this finds you well. We are safely ensconced in our happy “HAFH” [aka Home Away From Home] the Hilton Garden Inn [
The weather, although a bit sketchy at times, cooperated as we had a dry loading sequence this morning [and those of you Alumni Band Scholars know that a wet load is never a good way to start a jaunt] and conditions were delightful by the time we reached the greater Kansas City metroplex this evening.
The Snack Crew outdid themselves – we surely have enough goodies for an entire Roman Legion with us [and speaking of Romans, we seemingly also successfully dealt with the Ides of March challenge] and all tracked rather well. BIG THANKS to Sean and the Loading Crew – great work today.
So we are tucked in for the evening and the troops will hopefully get a good night’s rest. Tomorrow is devoted to visiting the spectacular Nelson Atkins Museum of Art and the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art before we start rehearsal in the early evening. It shall be a jim-dandy day.
Please keep watching for your updates from the GEL.
