Southwind Drum & Bugle Corps
"Everyday Camp"
June 1st through June 12th

The members of the Southwind Drum &
Bugle Corps began arriving on June 1st, and were subsequently
with us through June 12th. While at Georgetown College, they
worked on their 2004 show, “A Journey through the Sands”
comprised of four movements – I. Sandstorm, II. Mirage, III.
Oasis and IV. Pyramids. Well-known drum and bugle corps expert
and longtime member of the Madison Scouts organization, Mr.
Mike Loefellholz, [upper right] serves as the Corps Director and
Executive Producer for Southwind. This year’s Drum Major is Ms.
Lauren McCawley, [lower right] a graduate of the Tennessee
Governors School for the Arts and currently a junior at
Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA. |

On Friday, June 4th - the Drum Line of
Southwind serenaded the participants of the Kentucky Special
Olympics as they passed through Georgetown College - we
appreciated their support of this great event |

and they are off - a 12,000 mile,
twenty-state tour ending at the DCI World Championships in
Denver Colorado
