  Course Description:

Preparation for classroom teachers in the elementary grades. Topics covered will include the fundamentals of music, teaching methodologies in music, multi-cultural diversity, literature based or whole language approaches to classroom teaching involving music and creative activities involving music in the classroom. [and using the old language/catalog - also fulfills one segment of the core Fine Arts requirement or using the new language/catalog - also fulfills two hours of the Area of Inquiry requirement in the Fine Arts].
