Classroom Etiquette
& Thoughts
(some suggestions and guidelines that shall make our time
together more meaningful)
■
I shall always have the chairs set up for our class session – I ask you to help
me neatly stack when our time together is at an end (back of the band room – two stacks, with labels up)
■
please turn off or silence cellular or mobile communication devices (please no texting)
and during Mini-Quizzes, Quizzes, Tests, et al – you need to ensure your
communication devices are “stowed away”
■
the class starts at 10:00 AM and at 10:00 AM we shall start – I believe in your
timely arrival
■
please ensure you have your preferred email account “linked” [if that is the
right word] to your college email address as I shall oft-times send reminders,
study guides, information to you – via your school address
■
I shall take attendance daily – if you are ill or have another emergency or
conflict – please leave a voicemail message [8054] or email message
[plarue@georgetowncollege.edu]
■
I shall work to always be fully engaged for each class session – I ask that
each of you also be fully engaged (napping
and slumbering are strongly discouraged)
■
my handwriting is not too good and sometimes I
definitely scribble – if you cannot read something I have written upon the
board PLEASE ASK (my handwriting is
somewhat reminiscent of an axe-murderer’s)
■
please remember this class is entirely web-based – I suggest you bookmark the
web site as you shall use it often
( http://spider.georgetowncollege.edu/music/larue/music315
)
■
please do not leave/throw trash on the floor – if you do so – please it up at
the end of the class
■
I believe in ethical behavior [as I am sure you do also] I ask that any of the
electronic assignments assigned – you complete on your own – and when we have
in-class MQ’s, Q’s or T’s I shall ask you to sign a
version of the
■
upon rare occasion [and unfortunately] I use Biblical
language somewhat out of context, I apologize in advance for anytime this might
happen
