Virtual Scholar* Welcome to 2010 in general and this
Spring Semester in particular. I am so glad that you have chosen
to join the ever-growing "throng" of Music 107 Section A
students - that are fondly known as the "8:00 Scholars". I most sincerely hope that you find the 8:00 Scholar Experience to be both musically rewarding and personally enjoyable. Please know – with each passing year, with each passing semester – my love for the experience deepens, my commitment to the experience increases. It is my continuing goal to provide for each of you a pertinent background in the wonderful art form called music; which will hopefully hold you in good stead throughout the rest of your life. As I do each semester, I have made some changes and adjustments to the course and I hope these changes shall enhance the overall value of the class for you. This will be the thirty-fourth semester since the founding of the 8:00 Scholar Experience and the eighteenth in which we have used the new, improved, way-too-cool, high-tech, award-winning ScholarNet [now Version 6.00] and as such I hope you find it to be most delightful.
