During the course of the semester there shall be four (4) TMT [aka Twanger Mini-Tests]. Each shall evaluate through short answer, true or false, multiple choice, etc – information from the module being discussed. ALL aspects of our lectures, discussion and the TMT shall be based upon the module notes. Some of the TMT’s shall be “real-time” i.e. in class] others shall be “virtual” [i.e. completed outside of class and submitted electronically]. Each TMT shall be worth fifty (50) points. For the Fall 2011 Semester TMT shall be given on [probably] …

Thursday, September 20 [Real-Time]
Wednesday, October 12 [Virtual]
Thursday, November 10 [Real-Time]
Thursday, December 8 [Virtual or Real-Time]

note
if we are “not tracking [i.e. have gotten off schedule somewhere along the line] – these days might change – I shall always keep you posted if that is the case

Twanger Surprises [aka TS] ~ 50 Points Possible [25 each]
Throughout the course of the Semester – there shall be two (2) Twanger Surprises [some folks might call these pop quizzes]. They will be un-announced – yet always cover materials that has been gone over repeatedly and in great depth. The Twanger Surprises will add a bit of “spice” to our time together.

The CEAQ ~ 50 Points
The CEAQ [Course Embedded Assessment Question] is a special type of formative evaluation I added during the Fall of 2010. It is a special project, that requires a bit of thought and a bit of time. I think you will enjoy. The CEAQ “link” is under the Twanger e-assignments where you may find complete information regarding this project. The CEAQ will be due on Sunday, December 11 [midnight].

Twanger Project [aka TP] ~ 75 Points Possible
At the end of the semester [aka last day of class – Tuesday, December 13] you will be asked to perform an original “country” song which you have written [i.e. an “original” composition. We call this day The Grand Ole Opry Comes to Georgetown College [you may see some photos of past TP’s at the bottom of the Twanger Web]. The class will be divided into “pairs” [if we have an odd number – we can either have a trio or two or one solo act] for the Twanger Project. You might choose to do with accompaniment [acoustic only – i.e. guitar or autoharp or piano] or a cappella [unaccompanied]. Your TP should be reflective of the basic “message” of most country music – love, love lost, happiness, despair, triumph, tragedy, et al. We will provide help as necessary so that your TP may be very successful. This should be a highlight of our Tunes for Twanger offering!

Final Examination [aka FE] ~ 75 Points Possible
At the end of the semester [aka day/date as scheduled by the Registrar – in this case it is scheduled for Friday, December 16th at 9:00 AM. All students [graduating senior or not] shall be expected to participate in this evaluative tool. I fell very strongly that a cumulative final examination [and all questions shall be taken directly from the TMT] provides one last chance to reinforce and review the materials represented.
