Classroom Etiquette & Thoughts
(some
suggestions and guidelines that shall make our time together more meaningful)
■ I shall always have the chairs set up for our class
session I ask you to help me neatly stack when our time together is at an end
(back of
the band room two stacks, with labels up)
■ please turn off or silence cellular or mobile communication devices (please no texting)
and during Mini-Quizzes, Quizzes, Tests, et al you need to ensure your
communication devices are stowed away
■ the class starts at 9:30 AM and at 9:30 AM we shall start I believe
in your timely arrival
■ I shall take attendance daily if you are ill or have another
emergency or conflict please leave a voicemail message [8054] or email
message
[plarue@georgetowncollege.edu]
■ I shall work to always be fully engaged for each class session I ask
that each of you also be fully engaged (napping and slumbering are strongly discouraged)
■ my handwriting is not too good and sometimes I definitely scribble if
you cannot read something I have written upon the board PLEASE ASK (my
handwriting is somewhat reminiscent of an axe-murderers)
■ please remember this class is entirely web-based [not blackboard or Moogle or Whatever] I suggest you bookmark the web site
as you shall use it often ( http://spider.georgetowncollege.edu/music/larue/twangers
)
■ please do not leave/throw trash on the floor if you do so please
pick it up at the end of the class
■ I believe in ethical behavior [as I am sure you do also] I ask that any
of the TA [aka Twanger Assignments - Electronic
Assignments] assigned you complete on your own and when we have in-class
TMT [Twanger Mini-Tests] or other evaluative tools, I shall ask you to sign a
version of the Georgetown College Honor Code
■ upon rare occasion [and unfortunately] I use Biblical language somewhat
out of context, I apologize in advance for anytime this might happen
■ in all things please be respectful of others I/We want to value
your opinions and thoughts I ask you to value the opinions and thoughts of others
■ the sole reason I am here, the sole reason Georgetown College is here
is to help you develop, mature and grow intellectually, spiritually, physically
and emotionally I am totally committed to this
Thank-You
Pete LaRue
