the fifty (50) points possible in class participation is dependent upon
your attendance, thoughtful-chipper-engaged participation, et al. Additionally,
as there is oft-times some extra credit or bonus points to be had - this will
be added in the "CP" category.
For your final grade, your accumulated point total will be divided by 800
and the percentage for assigning letter grades is as follows
[and please note this is using the new A - A/B - B - B/C - C, etc
grading scale]:
*Note*
please understand - it takes 744 points to earn an "A"; 704 points to
earn an "A/B", etc 743 or 703 are close [to "A" or
"A/B" respectively] but no cigar - the course is designed for your
success - but you must do your part - and we never "round up" at the
end of the semester.
