Welcome to the homepage of Heather Winter Hunnicutt:† educator, performer, scholar, and activist in the art of singing.† Dr. Hunnicutt is on the music faculty at Georgetown College in Georgetown, Kentucky where she is an Assistant Professor of Voice, Chair of the Music Department, Coordinator of Vocal Studies and Director of the Lyric Theatre Program.† Her educational background includes the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Intern Program, a Doctor of Music in Vocal Performance degree with a doctoral minor in Music Education from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, a Masters of Music in Vocal Performance with a cognate in Opera from IU, and† Bachelorís from IU in Voice and Journalism with a minor in Theatre/Drama.† A former student of Patricia Wise and Diane Coloton, Hunnicutt is a soprano with particular interest in the performance and pedagogy of musical theatre and contemporary opera and art song in addition to classical voice literature.†
