To Transfer Images to Your Computer
To transfer images from the camera, you have several options, two of which
will be discussed here.
Using the Floppy Disk
The main advantage of this camera is the ability to use floppy disks as the
storage medium. Since 99% of all computers have a floppy drive, the images may
be directly copied to your computer from the floppy disk. This camera also uses
removable memory sticks, for which adapters exist that will allow you to plug
them directly into the computer.
Using the USB Cable
The other method for transfer is to connect the camera to your computer by
means of a USB cable. USB cable’s are symbolized by a trident-like symbol, and
are fairly standard on computers. The USB port on this camera is located in the
bottom right corner, under a protective rubber flap.
- Connect the USB cable to the camera
- Connect it to an available USB port on your computer
- The images may now be transferred to your computer in a number of ways
- For example, if you are using Windows XP:
- Windows will be add the camera as a drive
labeled Sony MemoryStick.
- this drive may be accessed just as any other drive connected to your
computer
- remove or copy off any picture as needed
- Working with a Macintosh is essentially the same

This is meant, of course,
just to get your started. You should consult the camera manual included in
the bag for more information. |
