Panasonic
PT-L720U LCD Projector
Do Not Power On Either the Computer
or the Projector
Until All Connections are Completed
The projector is kept in a gray case.
All of the necessary cables and the remote are in the carrying case. Please note
the “pouches” where each cable and the remote are stored and return to the same
locations.
Remove the projector unit, cables, and remote from the bag, and set the
projector on the cart. You should be able to place both the laptop and the
projector next to one another on the top of the cart.
There are two cables that need to be hooked up:
- a power cable which should be plugged into the cart then connected to the
three pronged port on the left side of the projector (the side with all the
other ports; opposite the handle)
- and the other cable, which needs to be hooked to the “monitor” port on the
back of the laptop (or whichever computer you intend to project from), then hooked to the middle of the three similar
looking ports on the projector (the one labeled “RGB 1 in”)

Power On!
- Once you have the cables hooked up, turn on the projector using the button
on the top
- the switch seen at the far right of the above picture is only a
breaker-switch of sorts; don’t use it
- Now turn on the computer.
- The projector will not display anything (but a blank, blue screen) until
the operating system loads up on the computer it is attached to.
- If the computer completes the start up process and the projector still
isn’t outputting anything
- first check to see that you’ve removed the lens cap
- second check that all the cables are hooked up properly
- and third, firmly press the power button on top to make sure you
pressed it.
Now That You Have a Projected Image
Auto Setup
Once the computer boots up, and the projector is displaying what the computer
is, press the Auto Setup button on the
projector’s remote to synchronize the two displays. You will see the words “auto
setup” briefly appear on the projection when this has been successfully
performed.
Adjusting, Adjusting, Adjusting
After performing the auto setup, you may adjust:
Size of Image
- Rotating the tab will change the size of the image (the same effect as if
you physically moved the projector nearer or farther from the projection
surface)
Focus
- Rotating the ring will focus the image.
The Projector Itself
- To raise or lower the projector, press up on the tabs located on the front
of the projector to allow the legs to slide freely. Raise or lower the
projector to the appropriate height, then release the tabs to lock the legs
into position.
That’s all it takes to set it up!
When You Are Finished
- Shut down the computer
- Power Off the projector
- Disconnect all cables
- Allow the projector to cool
before packing it up
- Put all cables and remote back in the same pouches where you found them
