Sharp LCD Projector

Ceiling Mounted Projection System in LRC012 and LRC015

There is a master power switch on the wall that is locked in the ON position. Do not tamper with this switch, do not attempt to turn off.

The Sharp mounted projection system is actually very easy to use. You may turn it on before or after the computer is booted, it does not matter.

Turning On the System

Focusing, Brightness, etc.

Everything is preset in this system. Do NOT attempt to adjust anything via the Menus. If there is a problem, please contact ITS immediately at x4357.

Laser Pointer

The remote includes a built-in laser pointer, accessible via the green dot button labeled laser, which is located at the top right of the 4 selection arrows.

Black Screen

Sometimes it is useful to temporarily turn off the projected display, so as not to distract your audience, without actually turning the projector off.

Sound

Both rooms LRC012 and LRC015 have ceiling-mounted speakers. To use them simply turn on the Peavey amp (the big black box) with the switch located on the right-hand side. The volume may be adjusted via the knob labeled Master, which is located to the right of the Treble and Bass knobs.

Turning Off the System

When you are finished, it is IMPERATIVE that you turn off the projector. The bulbs are very expensive (>$300 each). Even if no image is being projected because the computer is shut down, the bulb is in use unless the projector is off.
