Inserting the Date and/or Time

Choose Insert Date and Time … a dialog box will show the current date and/or time in a scrollable list of available formats double-click on the one you want to use the date and/or time will be inserted in your text using the selected format

if this box is checked, Microsoft Word will insert a code for the date and time, thus the date and time will automatically update each time you open the document
if this box is not checked, Microsoft Word will insert the current date and time, thus the document will always open with that date and time.

If you do not want Microsoft Word to update the date or time, do not check this box!
